Assist in managing the industrial controlling, project controlling and accounting activities of the Rochester, NY facility. This position will report to the Industrial Controller in Rochester, NY and will assist in several key tasks. This position will be the lead position which will manage the utilization of the Rochester, NY site. The role will also ensure control of the costs by monitoring the budget vs. actual performance each month. The role will also identify the causes of the variances and prepare detailed reports for review with Site leadership team.

The role will support industrial controller, Site Controller and Chief Accountant on various requests.



Monthly: Industrial Controlling

  • Detailed review of monthly actual costs. Coordinate with various cost Center owners to review monthly costs and investigate any potential anomalies vs. budget.
    • Early warnings on significant cost bookings compared to rates set at the beginning of the year
    • Proper booking of costs
    • Prior month to current month analysis
  • Month end close,
  • Utilization rates - plan vs actual
  • Headcount reporting
  • Monthly hours reconciliation
  • Monitor employee time reporting
  • Monitoring capex spend vs plan.
  • Monthly & annual tax reporting
  • Assist in preparing monthly presentations for Business reviews
  • Analysis for ad-hoc projects
  • Automation of existing files

Annually: Industrial Controlling

  • Assist with budget/budget reforecast process
  • Assist with hourly rates setting process

Monthly: Project Controlling

  • Actuals reporting
  • Entering invoices in GSI
  • Monthly bill backs


Education requirements

  • BS Degree in Business Administration; Accounting; Economics
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant project experience, including long and complex project control
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, SAP (GSI)
  • Must meet VIE French Program requirements*
