Objective:

Deliver electromechanical solutions on railway products by producing detailed drawings, technical documentation (requirements specifications, structural calculation report, test plans and reports) following standard Product Development processes.

 

Responsibilities:

•  Capture Key requirements and elaborate product specifications (nominal and degraded modes, function and performances, RAMS, industrial constraints, maintenance, configuration tools & functions)
•  Design elements of the product architecture (interfaces, functional refinement, functions or HW & SW allocation)
•  Create requirements for Product maintenance and configuration tools & functions
•  Contribute to the definition & maintenance of delivery baseline, analyses and implement Change Request
•  Conduct Product performance assessment and simulation
•  Support inputs to other disciplines (HW, Safety, V&V, RAM, Sourcing, etc.)
•  Contribute to Product documentation (Datasheet, Installation Manual, User Manuel, Maintenance Manual, training kit)

 

Education:

BS  or MS in Mecahnical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology

 

Experience:

10+ years in the design and development of electro-mechanical hardware systems and/or products

Experience working in cross functional multi-discipline development teams

Development of product specifications (functional, performance, nominal and degraded modes, RAM, etc.)

Experience designing and manufacturing iron, aluminum, and steel castings. (desirable)

Experiance with designing electrical enclosures (desirable)

Experience with designing injection molds (desirable)

System Architect modeling experience (SysML)  (desirable)

Experience in railroad/transit signaling market (desirable)

 

Skills:

Excellent verbal and wirtten communication

Excellent organizational and configuration management

Ability to generate, read, and interpret user requirements

 

Tools:

SolidWorks / PTC Creo / Catia, or other 3D modeling experience

SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, or other finite element software experience

AutoCAD

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowePoint, Project, Access)

Artisian Studio

DOORS

Working Conditions:

Work in primarily an office environment

Work occasionally at customer sites (outdoor trackside) at various times of day
