Objective
Alstom is seeking a Bid Technical Manager (BTM) to work on Rail Signaling bids. The individual should be familiar with Signaling Solutions including Automatic Train Control (ATC) solutions, Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) and Integrated Control Center (ICC) solutions, Computer-Based Interlocking (CBI) solutions, and other traditional signaling components including Track Circuits, Switches, Signals, etc.
The responsibility of this position is to manage the technical scope of bids ensuring the delivery of an accurate and competitive proposal in line with the standard solution and commercial strategy.
In addition, the individual should be well-versed in Project Engineering Management principles and qualities, such as Technical Leadership, Scope Management, Risk Management, Requirements Management, Configuration Control and Change Management, Planning and Scheduling, and System Deployment

Experience
For this level it is required at least 5 years of experience working on signaling projects in a technical position. The Bid Technical Manager at this level is self-proficient on all bid execution activities and is furthermore responsible for providing technical guidance to less experienced Bid Team Members. The Bid Technical Manager must be capable of executing one large, complex System bid, or multiple smaller, Subsystem bids.
