Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive troubleshooting expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of Diesel locomotives by expertly diagnosing and resolving technical issues. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Maintenance, Quality Control, and Design Engineering), contribute to the improvement of fault-finding processes and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Analyzing and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues within diesel locomotives,
  • Implementing effective solutions to resolve faults and prevent recurrence,
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Manager to ensure the delegation of responsibilities aligns with project needs,
  • Developing and optimizing maintenance procedures and protocols,
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with clients and team members regarding technical issues and solutions,
  • Ensuring all activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory compliance,
  • Documenting fault findings and repair actions accurately for maintenance records and reports,
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineering staff,
  • Continuously updating personal technical knowledge and skill set to enhance service quality,
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices within the company"

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Railway Engineering,
  • Experience or understanding of diesel locomotive systems and fault finding techniques,
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and maintenance practices,
  • Familiarity with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) frameworks,
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
