Could you be the VIE - Field & Reliability Engineer we’re looking for?
Your future role :
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our rolling stock during the warranty phase of the ICNG project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (local operational teams, engineering teams in the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland), support functional validation activities, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of the reliability growth activities on a dedicated system during the warranty phase, investigating and troubleshooting technical issues, but also provide local support for debugging and fine-tuning activities.
We’ll look to you for:
- Lead root cause investigations using 8D methodology (incl. Ishikawa, action plans)
- Chair weekly task force with ENG, QA, PI Field & Suppliers
- Collect and analyze logs & HH data for issue diagnosis
- Conduct on-train investigations with PI Field Engineers
- Track and report anomalies, failure modes, and root causes
- Assign and follow up on actions across stakeholders
- Update investigation progress in AT PST with QA
- Define and implement containment actions & fleet checks
- Support development and field validation of HH alerts & dashboards
- Report and validate anomalies with ENG, QA & Suppliers
- Contribute to reliability growth through knowledge sharing

- Degree in Industrial IT, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
- Experience or understanding of network protocols and interface standards
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and their interpretation
- Proficiency in technical problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Solid command of English, both written and spoken
- Excellent analytical skills with a methodical and rigorous approach
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- High level of motivation for tackling technical challenges
