As a PI Field Engineering Support based on the train commissioning and operation depot you will participate in the warranty phase of ICNG project to ensure successful revenue service & interact with local operational team. You will be incorporated into the Product Introduction team for functional systems (Doors, Heating Ventilation AC, Passenger Information, Driver’s Desk…).
You will have to feed-back the operability designers about safe and reliable operation of the rolling stock and its operability context (like environmental conditions, infrastructure & users).
As an international team a very good level of English (written and spoken) is requested.
Location : Amsterdam or Utrecht Train Customer Depot.
Responsibilities
- Close open points or escalate when necessary.
- Report progress regularly to both managerial and functional interfaces (at least on a weekly basis).
- Support functional validation activities during Validation Campaigns of new Functional Train Configurations (FTC), if requested.
- Ensure quality management of activities:
- Manage configuration of input documents.
- Track hardware and software installed on-site.
- Handle & report anomalies in close collaboration with the factory.
- Complete test coverage.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during the Testing & Commissioning phase.
- Provide local support to the depot for debugging and fine-tuning activities.
- Support Supplier Interface Tests and TC&IS verification tests on PC or TCMS Test Bench.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and feedback in areas such as software, schematics, and apparatus.
- Provide local support on investigation for root cause analysis and contribute to reliability growth of the fleet
- Act as a liaison between the train (in the Netherlands) and Engineering teams (in the Netherlands, Germany, and Poland).
Qualification : Field Engineer.
With a strong technical background, ideally in Industrial IT, Electrical or Automation. While the specific school is not a priority, a solid foundation in technical disciplines is essential.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in technical problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Solid command of English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a methodical and rigorous approach.
- High level of motivation for tackling technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for teamwork and networking.
