About the role
We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Industrial Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring sites performance, controlling production costs, and supporting operational decision-making across industrial and production sites.
You will work closely with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, optimize financial performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
As an Industrial Controller, you will:
- Monitor and analyse production costs, identifying variances and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Track and manage production orders within the ERP system, ensuring accurate financial allocation throughout the industrial flow.
- Reconcile labour hours between activity tracking tools and ERP systems, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
- Provide reliable cost-to-date and estimate-at-completion reporting for industrial activities.
- Prepare regular financial analyses and performance reports, including cost-per-unit and operational efficiency metrics.
- Monitor material and production balances, including MRP and WBS-related reporting.
- Analyse cost variances, standard costing, and actual versus standard price deviations.
- Support quality and supplier recovery cost tracking and analysis.
- Develop and maintain operational and financial performance scorecards and KPIs.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project teams to align financial and operational objectives.
- Support monthly closing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
- Participate in inventory valuation reviews, cycle counts, provisioning assessments, and working capital improvement initiatives.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing financial data, documentation, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
What We're Looking For
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance, Controlling, or Industrial Cost Management.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
- Understanding of standard costing methodologies and variance analysis.
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Personal Attributes

- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement focus.

- Fluent in English, Dutch preferable

- Salary between €6.250 and €8.250 gross/month (1 FTE) depending on relevant experience
