The Mechanical Engineer (ME) Routing / Elec (M/F) will manage Computer Aid Designer (CAD), activities and deliverables on electrical routing and cabinets in compliance with QCD commitments. Applying applicable Mechanical Domain instructions, processes and tools.


His / Her main missions will be as follows :

  • Performing 3D activities, design annotations and 2D deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments, Metier rules and processes on electrical routing and cabinets including manufacturing and cost target, based on a strong experience and a complex schematic understanding.
  • Filling-up attributes for each part in Digital Mock-Up (naming, material, Fire & Smoke, etc.) and verifying consistency of digital mock-up (no clash, etc.) and compliance with requirements (allocated volumes, weight, interfaces, etc…) on assigned scope
  • Managing production of deliverables (TPS, TRS,…)  in accordance with Planning targets and custumer requirements
  • Supplier follow-up during development phase (evaluation, documentation,…)
  • Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions with the target : On Time Delivery and First Time Right
  • Inegrate internal and external customer constraints and support them during production phase
  • Reporting on Mechanical Domain activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments


Profil required for this position:

  • Mechanical Engineering Dimploma preferably applied to Railway products with 2 to 3 years of experience, standards, CATIA V5 et DMA2.2 tool (EHI, Electrical routing, Bend Part, Sheet Metal) and special processes (welding, riveting, gluing,etc…)
  • Ability to read and understand complex electrical diagram, to define allocated volume for the routing integration based on return of experience, to challenge and propose improvments, to design harnesses taking into account cable constraints (tolerances, flexible connection, accessibility, bend radius), to adapt compenent specification
  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer), time management and reporting skill, sense of urgency / priority, structured and organised with Hands-on approach
  • English and german operational in read/writing and technical meeting
