Could you be the Rolling Stock Supervisor in Randwick we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Fleet Operations Manager and work alongside motivated and energetic teammates. You'll be responsible for leading a team of technicians to deliver planned and corrective maintenance activities across the Sydney Light Rail Fleet. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, management, quality), oversee corrective and preventative maintenance activities and much more. We’ll look to you for: 

  • Efficient utilisation of staff and resources to achieve contractual targets and targets set by the Depot Manager, Operation Manager and Project Manager 
  • Ensuring that Occupational Health and Safety and quality procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to at all times
  • Overseeing the in-depth fault finding, servicing and repair of the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles)
  • Training and mentoring your team to ensure they have the right tools, equipment and competency required to perform the work 
  • Leading process improvements and new ways of working within the depot
  • Driving efficiency within the team to ensure the improvement of availability and fleet performance

 

All about you

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a high performing team
  • Previous experience working within maintenance of rolling stock preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Good computer skills, in particular MS Office and SAP/GSI
  • Commercially minded and customer focused
