Join us as Payroll Analyst, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Queretaro, MX.

 

The role holder will be responsible for the day to day Payroll Processing for MX payroll, desirable knowledge in Payroll US and CAN. 
The Payroll team is responsible for ensuring that employees are paid correctly according to Country Legislation and Business policies and local agreements. 
The role holder will work closely with all Payroll Team and will perform routine tasks such as processing variable pay, salary integration, incidences deductions, special payments, reporting and reconciliation, employee consultant and year-end processes preparation.
The role holder is also responsible for the quality of service delivered, by managing and prioritizing their workload to ensure that SLAs are achieved, as well as building relationships and ensuring customer confidence is maintained and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.
The role holder is a professional with conceptual knowledge and previous relevant work experience in Payroll processes. Moreover, the role holder is also expected to continuously search and implement improvement initiatives that will make the day to day process lean and standardized. 
Also the role holder is expected to have knowledge in Labour Relations and its implications (Contracts administration, determinate and indeterminate basis).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

General Responsabilites

  • Provide 1st line support for resolving payroll queries within defined SLAs, escalating to the Payroll Supervisor as required
  • Validate initial payroll results for the defined employee groups/union contract region
  • Provide coaching for colleagues on payroll related issues. Ensure personal knowledge of payroll specific information is maintained and shared across team
  • Identify requirement for change requests and highlight to Payroll Supervisor to ensure ongoing policy and business process changes are reflected in the payroll solution.
  • Support delivery of payroll related processes throughout the year (i.e. year-end salary change, bonus, year-end reconciliations, etc.)
  • Support the Payroll Team who liaise with the 3rd party payroll provider on issues with and enhancements to the payroll solution
  • Administrate the Contracts for temporary and permanent employees, tracking the register of end dates, extensions or indeterminate contracts assignations.

 

Compliance

  • Support Payroll team in ensuring all payroll related processes are compliant with country tax and social security legislation
  • Support Payroll team in ensuring all payroll related processes are compliant with relevant internal and external audit requirements i.e. CASRA, SARBOX, E&Y, External Tax & Social Security Authorities
  • Ensure payroll related processes correctly represent company policy and are compliant with appropriate legislation.

 

Customer Relationship Management

  • Develop an effective working relationship with client group and related departments across the business to ensure a streamlined service is provided to the customer
  • Support Payroll team in ensuring all payroll related processes are compliant with country tax and social security legislation
  • Ensure payroll related processes correctly represent company policy and are compliant with appropriate legislation.

 

Teamwork

  • Work with the full Payroll Team, providing support and guidance. 
  • Work effectively and efficiently with colleagues sharing information and tasks to collectively achieve targets
  • Take ownership for personal development and understanding of team activities

 

Continuous Improvement & Project Activities

  • Proactively identify processing issues and areas for process improvement.  Propose and implement solutions.
  • Participate in multi-workstream projects as leader or specialist to develop processes, systems and standards to continuously improve service delivery.

 

REQUIRED PROFILE:

 

  • Degree Level in relevant subject (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Administration) or relevant experience
  • Deep knowledge of general payroll systems.
  • Deep knowledge in Social Security and Taxes.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in similar position
  • Proficiency in English. B2-C1
  • Good general business understanding.
  • Excellent customer and interpersonal skills
  • Thorough understanding of Payroll processes and systems.
  • Experience in country legislation related to payroll
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with resilience under pressure
  • Excel at intermediate level is essential
  • Experience of largescale HR/Payroll systems is essential
