Located in La Pocatière, Quebec, you will play a key role in our Automation & Innovation team. You will be involved in PLC programming and technical documentation related to PLC-Robot and PLC-HMI communications in a robotic welding cell.

 

As part of your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Attend training on the various equipment involved in the project
  • Understand and document the communication modes between the PLC and the various equipment in the cell
  • Understand, program, and deploy PLC programs
  • Support the establishment of reference technical documentation
  • Develop, program, and deploy systems for identifying and allocating variables
  • Participate in the establishment of a communication channel
  • Support the automation team in continuous improvement tasks
  • Develop result communication via PowerBI
  • Establish/Modify a SQL database to aggregate collected information
  • Establish MQTT/SQL communication to transmit production information
  • Create algorithms and/or software to extract information from production data

 

As our ideal candidate:

  • You are an undergraduate or graduate student in Automated Production Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • You are self-taught, proactive, independent, and resourceful
  • You have experience with PLC programming
  • Experience with robot programming is a plus
  • You possess technical documentation writing skills
  • You have knowledge of basic programming languages
  • You are action-oriented, focused on results, and team objectives
  • You can act professionally
  • You pay attention to detail and have good communication skills
  • You are bilingual in spoken and written English and French
  • You have in-depth knowledge of computer tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
