MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

 

Drive on-cycle project quality activities for welding parts and for all projects delivered in the site.

Accountability & Authorities

 

    • Manage Industrial Quality activities in relevant workshop (IQ + process + KPI).
    • Perform DpU / External Demerit analysis to lead efficient Line Quality Animation with industrial cross function team
    • Support the decision for all Hand Overs (GO / NOGO) & keeps NO GO Veto Right in any case
    • Stop the production if needed for mandatory reason (e.g. Safety impact needed rework)
    • Participate to Criticality Matrix analysis & contribute to Process FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect & Analysis)
    • Lead FAR & Participate to FMR / SMR
    • Implement & Regularly update of Quality Control Plans during Pre & Serial manufacturing activities
    • Ensure availability of Car History Book & Compliance of the manufactured products before shipping
    • Manage Internal NCR: Support NCR team to complete characterization until closure using Problem Solving methodology (e.g. QRQC)
    • Participate in Customer Inspections
    • Qualify manufacturing teams regarding the Self-Inspection
    • Manage Workstation Dynamic Checklists (Self-Inspection & Workstation Inspection)
    • Perform Workstation Audit & Follow-up
    • Perform or participate to inspections of products when required
    • Work closely together with the operation to ensure that quality is built into the product from the start. Needs to act a coach to operations.
    • Support Site Quality Manager in other critical assignments in coordinating and leading the quality activities.
    • Prepare and perform customer FAI when requested.
    • In charge of the tooling calibration and management.

 

Performance measurements

    • APSYS score objective for Industrial Quality requirements (Q09 to Q13 items).
    • Participate in the IRIS Internal/external audit and process audit.
    • External Demerit, Defects per Unit & First Pass Yield reductions to achieve objectives defined
    • CONQ per unit (Cost Of Non Quality) reduction to achieve objective defined

 

 

 

 

 MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements / Experience

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electromechanical, material, mechanical…) or equivalent
  • Must be able to understand technical documentation of the scope.
  • Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
  • Experience in managing Quality tools (Problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, …)

Desirable:

  • Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.) is a “plus”

 

Experience Describe the knowledge and experience required for this role

Mandatory:

  • Min 5 years’ experience within manufacturing industry or in a Quality role or in a Industrial role; or Min 3 years’ experience in Railway industry.
  • Familiar with NDT knowledge, NDT qualification is a “plus”.
  • Familiar with welding/casting/heat treatment and machining.

Desirable:

  • Quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry.
  • Railway experience is a "plus".
  • Experience in audit is appreciated

 

Competencies & Skills

  • Technical mastering of railway products or bogie.
  • IWE or IWI qualification is a “plus”.
  • Quality professional background with knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, control plan, 8D, 5W etc.).
  • Leadership, able to communicate with business partners.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and resistance to pressure (Production & Delivery)
  • Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO, IRIS) and Quality tools
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
