PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE JOB:
Schedule and control the daily service and maintenance operations at the respective depot, so that they are on time in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule. This is a key support function for service and maintenance operations.
KEY NETWORK & LINKS:
INTERNAL:
- Manufacturing and testing Dept, Project Planning, industrialization , Supply Chain : Material management team, Quality, Logistic (warehouse & internal transport manager)
EXTERNAL
- Suppliers or logistic providers in case of JIT (Just in Time) call off
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- The Depot Maintenance Planner is in charge of launching, coordinating and controlling the progress of service orders according to the maintenance and repair schedule.
- The Depot Maintenance Planner makes the link between PPM (Project Planning Manager), Warehousing, Technical Team to ensure on time execution of operations.
- On a weekly basis, provide feedback to planning to update the maintenance schedule, regarding operational constraints
- On a daily basis, coordinate with logistic, Material planning and quality to allow the operations team to service as per the plan
- Defining and implementing improvement action plans for dysfunctions on components delivered as per depot need.
- Ensure a continuous flow of materials to depot
- Check plan orders readiness to ensure service orders can be launch on time and analyze exception messages of the MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Convert Planned Orders into service orders and launch them on time in applicable depot
- Follow-up daily on the progress of released Service Orders through close exchanges with the technical team and logistics.
- Ensure that priorities as planned in the Maintenance Schedule are clearly displayed and updated at shop floor level (visual management)
- Contribute to data accuracy check related to BOM (Bill Of Material)/Routings in collaboration with Industrialization.
- Alert the planning team/supply chain manager about issues impacting plan execution (missing parts, quality issues, operation stoppage, technical data)
- Manage the information workflow of service orders: job release and material consumption
- Provide material-feeding priorities visibility to the logistics team in order to secure service operations
- Contribute to ensure On time delivery of material
- Participate / represent Supply chain on production line 5’ meeting
- Follow-up subcontracted operations and ensure their execution on time in collaboration with logistics & production
- Respect EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) rules and involved in SOV (Safety Observation Visits)
- Performance measurements: Work Order launch & closure on time, Alignment to improved stock accuracy & stockholding practices.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Recognised National Diploma/ Degree in Supply chain management or any equivalent qualification or
- Studying towards a qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics or similar field
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE /BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- 3 - 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience in rail industry will be an added advantage
- Experience in production scheduling/sequencing or operational supply chain with relevant usage of ERP (ideally SAP) in a manufacturing environment
- Warehouse management module
- SAP (GSI) and Microsoft Office
- Dealing with Complexity & Deadline-Oriented
- Knowledgeable of industrial planning, logistics, inventory management, Material planning
TECHNICAL:
- Good knowledge of ERP System (SAP)
- Good knowledge of excel
- Good level of data analysis and reporting
- Basics on lean tools
