At Alstom, the Metrology function plays a critical role in ensuring the dimensional accuracy, quality, and reliability of manufacturing tooling, including jigs, fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools. This position supports production excellence by verifying compliance with engineering specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements, and quality standards. The Metrology team contributes directly to product safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

- Design and implement scalable metrology solutions to optimize production processes and support large-scale rail projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and engineering, to ensure seamless integration of tooling systems.

What You Bring
- Experience in tooling engineering or metrology within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software, measurement systems, and statistical analysis tools - knowledge of PolyWorks is mandatory.
- Practical experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is required.
- Strong understanding of precision engineering, quality assurance, and process optimization.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills; ability to manage projects and mentor junior engineers.

Salary Range
In accordance with New York State law, the anticipated salary range for this position is 65,000 - 85,000 USD. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, and qualifications. This range reflects the base salary only and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation.
