Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Parts availability management
- Set up MRP Master data set up (procurement and logistics view) into local ERP system
- Communicate delivery needs
- Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure availability of product to satisfy production needs
- Expediting material in case of delay (BO management)
- Managing the return of non-conforming material to the supplier and follow up the return
- Monitor and communicate material coverage status, including external logistic providers
- Escalating supply issues, in a timely manner, which require BT management support
Inventory Management
- The initial setting and maintenance of accurate date of in ERP system like, reorder points, lead time etc. to ensure parts supply service levels are achieved
- Managing towards suppliers, actions to minimize inventory level, in terms of Material In Store (MIS) and Coverage In Days (CID)
- Reporting store inventory deviation
- Contribute to s MIS reviews and identify opportunities for removing / reducing the level of obsolete /excess stock
Supplier Management
- Analyzing and validating purchase requisition
- Treating the purchase requisition in case of quantity change and update the S/A or PO
- Placing repair purchase order
- Placing purchase order for AVM material
- Contribute to the monitoring of supplier performance utilizing delivery KPIs
- Contribute to introduce changes in the supply base and proactively manage any potential impact on future supply
- Managing and control delivery schedule
- Check supplier usage of web portal
- Resolving supplier related invoicing issues, where there are no commercial implications, e.g. quantity.
- Escalation of performance and commercial issues
- Contribute to the charge back process by gathering and reporting necessary information
- Managing spares orders
As our ideal candidate:
- You have Apprenticeship/Professional Training or Commercial/Administration studies with Bachelor degree
- 2+ years experience in Procurement and Supply Chain
- Intermediate knowledge of ERP techniques and supplier collaboration tools
- Solid understanding of demand planning processes
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Basic procurement and production knowledge to work as interface between both functions within the supply chain
- Solid analytical skills
- Basic Financial Knowledge (Invoices, Cash Management, etc.)
Location
Preference would be to have candidate on site in Plattsburgh, NY
