Join us as a Methods Engineer, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Plattsburgh, New York.


As a Methods Engineer, you will collaborate between Engineering and Manufacturing to optimize manufacturability of products, throughput times and productivity, leads production of the building of the first vehicle of each type.


Your responsibilities will include: 


  • Provide technical leadership when issues arise on the production floor;
  • Ensure that the design allows production to achieve target standard hours;
  • Develop and modify production line implementation layouts using AutoCAD and lead the implementation of the production line to build rail cars;
  • Develop financial business cases for investments made such as tools, tooling, equipment etc. and ensure that the investment is in the best interest of the organization.


Key requirements:


  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s in mechanical, industrial,manufacturing or engineering;
  • A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in rolling stock or Transportation manufacturing in a technical role;
  • Experience in product engineering design;
  • Good knowledge in Autocad and Catia;
  • Methods or Manufacturing engineering knowledge;
  • Communication and change management experience;
  • Excellent English communication skills, advanced both written and spoken.
