Key accountabilities:

 

  • Apply Industrial Planning Golden rules.
  • Apply EHS (Environment Health Safety) rules (Alstom Zero Deviation Plan) when moving in workshops
  • Manage demand (firm & forecast) in the Core Planning Tools and/or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

 

Capture the Demand

 

  • Consolidate and analyze the demand forecast (BoQs / BOMs (Business Opportunity Management) and forecast plan) from tender team, project team and S&OP (Sales & Operations Plan) demand plan
  • Check the consistency and completeness of the demand forecast and put in place corrective actions when needed
  • Inject the demand forecast into GSI (and / or Short-Term Monthly Demand Planning tool)
  • Contribute to the anticipation process (consolidate, check approval process consistency, perform netting when Sales Order is placed)
  • For firm demand, validate the adequacy between the need expressed by the project team and the product lead-time communicated by the supplier before registering the firm need into GSI (through Sales Order, Activity Network, Purchasing Info Record (PIR), etc.)
  • Guarantee that the data inside the ERP / Core Planning Tool are the latest update

 

Contribute to planning instances & monthly reporting

 

  • Collaborate to the quarterly S&OP:
    • Build the industrial planning for opportunities in coherency with inputs from tender team, project team, site strategic plan and firm projects already in the portfolio
    • Perform operations workload versus workforce analysis and analyze bottlenecks (site capacity)
    • Provide output to central S&OP team for global consolidation
  • Ensure that S&OP instance decisions are reflected as input into Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP)
  • Participate to the SIOP cycle by doing the appropriate simulations and propose feasible scenario to support decisions to be taken (with internal and/or external solution)
  • Ensure that SIOP instance decisions are reflected into MPS and/or Material Delivery Plan and cascade through the organization with appropriate communication to internal / external suppliers
  • Support the stakeholders (i.e. Product Manager, Obsolescence Manager & Catalogue Managers) in production volumes analysis / consolidation
  • Report the Work In Progress (WIP) and Finished goods (FG) for Hard Inventory (HI) consolidation in time
  • Report the Manufacturing Throughput and Production Performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in time
  • Ensure that all KPIs are calculated according to the standard rules

 

Build and update the Master Production Schedule (Firm Demand only)

 

  • Build the production plan taken into account availability of Material, Men, Machine (3M approach)
  • Get the commitment on the hypothesis taken from all stakeholders
  • Resource Management:
    • Calculate manufacturing and testing workload inside the Planning Tool / ERP
    • Identify the quantity of resources (not nominatively) needed per workshop, metier, skills
    • Share results for monthly meeting
    • Manage resource with industrial team and HR
  • Bottleneck analysis:
    • Identify the bottlenecks as well as all other possible risks on the production plan
    • Alert Industrial Planning manager and PrPM / SSM of the projects involved each time maximum capacity is reached 
    • Propose scenario to secure and/or recover production plan (internal and/or external solution)
  • Daily monitoring:
    • Monitor production plan adherence
    • Analyze the root causes of delay of the production plan (using 5-Why method) and their impact (including on other projects in case of multi project line)
    • Participate to alignment meeting with industrial teams (Manufacturing / Testing / Supply Chain)
    • Contribute to escalation process in case of non-adherence
  • Guarantee that the data inside the ERP / Core Planning Tool are the latest update
  • Update industrial planning into the Planning Tool / ERP each time there is a change validated by all stakeholders
  • Update weekly the actual dates and communicate internally on the production plan status through a cockpit (tables, graphs, …)
  • Prepare and participate to site planning instances / meetings
  • In case of particular event (strike, pandemic, supplier crisis, etc.):
    • Evaluate impact by doing simulation to be validated in the appropriate instance
    • After decision is taken, update industrial planning into the Planning Tool / ERP
  • In case of validated major change, prepare communication pack for SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Procurement (to be send to internal and external suppliers)

 

 

Requirements:

  • Graduated from university or engineering school (Master’s degree)
  • Experience in supply chain or in planning
  • Knowledgeable of End-to-End vision for Industrial Planning process and process impact in ERP for procurement and manufacturing (Desirable)
  • Good knowledge of Core Planning Tool, ERP and Excel
  • Good level of English
  • Good Communication and collaborative skills
  • Innovative, pro-active and positive
  • Customer oriented
  • Sense of urgency and autonomous
  • Able to make the synthesis of a critical issue
