Join us as a Verification and Test Engineer, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


As a Verification and Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in planning, development and execution of automated and manual software tests supporting acceptance by validators, assessors, and customers, while working in a global team that delivers critical software for the mass transit railway systems.


Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Participate in requirements, architecture, design, and code reviews and recommend improvements;
  • Creating test specification based on the analysis of requirements, design, architecture, interface specifications;
  • Developing automated software tests with Python.
  • Executing tests in the virtual machines and laboratory environment and pinpoint the issues;
  • Identify anomalies, evaluate these in risk (impact) terms, record and communicate them;
  • Setup, Update and Maintainance of the test labs for various test hardware and software configurations


Additionally, you can also be involved with:


  • Develop software verification and test plans;
  • Manage the verification process (review, integration, and testing) and providing a Verification Report;
  • Continuous improvement of the verification process to increase the quality and reduce cost;


Key requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.  An Associates degree and related work experiecne may substitute for a four year degree.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of DOORS.
  • Experience with the Python programming language and its main libraries.
  • Understanding of C and C# programming language.
  • Experience in a domain where verification is carried out e.g. software requirements, data, code, etc, in a highly regulated industry.
  • Excellent English communication skills advanced both written and spoken.
