Could you be the full-time onsite Sub-System Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive systems engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, detail-oriented, and collaborative teammates. You'll be instrumental in supervising and validating sub-system selection to ensure our projects are equipped with high-quality components. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as procurement, quality assurance, and product management), monitoring the Mechanical Sub-Systems/equipments deliveries conformity with project needs, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Assessing and selecting suitable sub-systems in line with project requirements,

  • Collaborating with project teams to integrate sub-system solutions,

  • Ensuring sub-systems meet technical specifications and quality standards,

  • Providing technical guidance and support during sub-system installation,

  • Documenting sub-system engineering processes and outcomes

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field,

  • Experience or understanding of supervising technical projects and teams,

  • Knowledge of mechanical sub-systems and equipment,

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently,

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with project stakeholders,

  • Background with two and three dimensional CAD packages, finite element analysis will be considered as an asset.

  • Familiarity with industry documentation standards/applications is a plus 

  • Knowledge of train systems at the vehicle level a plus.
