Join us as Software Engineer – Automatic Train Operation, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Pittsburgh (PA), US.


This role will be responsible for project-focused wayside software development, specializing in Automatic Train Operations for CF650.




  • ATO software development:  Application (SA) and development (GA) of RATO software for CF650 products. Define system architecture and interfaces. Develop software using C, C#, C++. Develop software testing procedures, programming, and documentation. Generate technical deliverables to ensure schedule and quality of work are maintained
  • Software Requirements: Develop and analyze software requirements to satisfy product, project, and safety requirements
  • Support all phases of in-house and on-site systems testing and commissioning




  • Bachelor's Degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in a software engineering or software development role.
  • You demonstrate a sound knowledge of programming in C, C#, and/or C++.
  • You demonstrate a good understanding of software development, and software processes (including agile development).
  • You have experience with writing software requirement (experience with DOORS is preferred).
  • You have experience troubleshooting and diagnosing released software and systems and be willing to travel to customer sites.
  • Knowledge of Transportation industry or layout of rail signalling components will be an asset
