Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your software design and development expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll contribute to the development of safety-critical, real-time train control signaling solutions, ensuring the seamless and safe operation of transportation systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, quality assurance, and global stakeholders), coordinate peer reviews of software development artifacts, and continuously enhance your skills by applying new tools, techniques, and processes in an environment that prioritizes continuous improvement, and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Developing subsystem requirements and designs based on system-level designs and requirements. ,

  • Implementing software designs, including unit tests to verify that the software is correct and complete. ,

  • Coordinating and participating in peer reviews of software development artefacts. ,

  • Collaborating effectively as a team player in a dynamic, diverse work environment. ,

  • Engaging in technical discussions and communications with team members across various disciplines and global locations. ,

  • Thriving in a multicultural and multilingual environment with cross-functional teams. ,

  • Learning and applying new tools, techniques, and processes in a continuous improvement-focused environment. ,

  • Ensuring compliance with industry-accepted safety and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. ,

  • Utilizing agile software development methodologies and contributing to continuous integration practices. ,

  • Leveraging knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software development tools (e.g., Eclipse, VSCode, Git/GitLab, DOORS, EWM) to deliver high-quality software solutions."

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines. ,

  • Experience or understanding of software development concepts, including the full software development lifecycle from requirements through testing, verification, and validation. ,

  • Knowledge of structured software development and object-oriented design principles. ,

  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (Linux, any real-time OS, Windows) and process control software. ,

  • Excellent communication skills for technical discussions and collaboration with diverse, global teams. ,

  • Experience in agile software development methodologies. ,

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++. ,

  • Familiarity with software development tools such as Eclipse, VSCode, Git/GitLab, DOORS, or EWM. ,

  • Adaptability to learn and apply new tools, techniques, and processes in a continuous improvement environment.
