The scrum master is a general role in Scrum based agile software development. The following general activities are part of the role 

  • Responsible for enacting Scrum values and practices 

  • Removes impediments  

  • Ensures that the team is fully functional and productive 

  • Enables close cooperation across all roles and functions 

  • Shields the team from external interferences 

  • Facilitates sprint planning, daily scrum, demo, retrospective 

  • Coaches in scrum practice 


The role leads one or several projects. 


Excellent communications skills are required, as the job involves technical discussions and communications with team members of various disciplines across our global workforce. The capacity to thrive in an environment that includes several teams with diverse backgrounds and language skills is necessary. 


Specific Activities

  • Lead the sub-system SW activities overall (development through release) 

  • Lead sprint planning sessions 

  • Update RTC at planning 

  • Make sure RTC is kept up to date by team 

  • Provide estimates together with Product Owner and team 

  • Lead daily scrums 

  • Lead sprint retrospectives. Define, plan and follow up on action items 

  • Invite to and lead sprint demos 

  • Groom the backlog with the team regularly 

  • Together with the Product Owner, ensure backlog and release plans are aligned with project needs 

  • Provide inputs to Primavera P6 schedules 

  • Lead or ensure CCBs are held 

  • Ensure the team capacity loading 

  • Report progress using defined metrics (burndowns, team velocity, story completion, NCR status, etc) 

  • Follow up on budget and EAC 



  • B.Sc degree or similar in relevant field. 


Relevant Experience Required 

  • 5 years’ experience relevant experience. Ideally certified Scrum Master

  • Experience from working with global teams is a plus

  • SW Engineering experience to understand problem statements in SW engineering

  • Significant experience in leading SW development teams in an agile environment
