Could you be the full-time hybrid RAMS Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?


Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your robust and analytical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll manage the RAM activities and related deliverables, ensuring compliance with QCD commitments on the project(s)/program(s) you are appointed to. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, industrial, sourcing, validation etc.), coordinating RAM contributors and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Planning and piloting the RAM activities as per the applicable RAM instructions/processes and other specific requirements committed to the Customer,

  • Assessing the capability and risks of the foreseen Alstom Transport product to meet customer Reliability requirements during the tender phase,

  • Performing the project/program RAM activities compliant with the QCD work packages commitments,

  • Ensuring the quality of the RAM deliverables to foster their acceptance by the Customer within the limits of Alstom Transport commitments,

  • Continuously assessing the product to meet the Reliability performance and defining necessary reliability actions to minimize risks,

  • Reporting on the progress of the RAM activities and alerting management in case of issues potentially impacting the achievement of the QCD commitments,

  • Anticipating potential blocking issues regarding the next Reliability design review milestone and being proactive in the resolution plan,

  • Supporting other stakeholders in the definition of measures to meet the reliability actions,

  • Being the point of contact for RAM matters on the project/program for the corresponding scope,

  • Performing reliability design reviews as per the project/program schedule

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other related engineering disciplines,

  • Experience or understanding of RAM prediction and measurement methods and tools,

  • Knowledge of safety hazard analysis, preferably applied to Railway products,

  • Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer),

  • Familiarity with time management and reporting skills,

  • Structured and organized with a Hands-on approach,

  • Customer & Product Focus
