Work with the V&V Test team involved in a set of projects, ensuring quality targets and repeatable test performance. Define the V&V strategy, perform System Verification, involved in V&V execution, delivering as per QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) commitments. Identify and implement best V&V practices and standardize their implementation across the projects. Work with the V&V Lead and help with continuous team improvement, assess team competencies and gaps, and prepare a training plan for the team.

 

Job Description:

  • Take part to major developments by proving that the design is fit for its intended use, through implementation and execution of Verification, Integration and Test activities, fitting the targets in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery
  • Detail and perform all the in-house activities in the scope of the V&V team, and interface experts delegated in other departments. Cooperate tightly with Test & Commissioning to ensure seamless integration and alignment between in-house and on-site testing activities and results. Interface with design teams to share and detail the results of V&V activities
  • Agree with Verification & Validation Manager on strategy, scheduling and budget, and share progress, results and issues during execution

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Define verification methodology for selected deliverables, when requested from V&V strategy perspective to support project deliverables
  • Contribute to the definition of the Project Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan, and act proactively for its implementation
  • Define test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities and work directly with the V&V department head to implement those V&V plans and activities
  • Perform and report on allocated verification, integration and test activities and share the results and justifications with the Safety team to help with System Safety Demonstration
  • Specify, procure, develop, setup and configure assets such as testbenches and instrumentation
  • Represent Alstom in front of customers or partners, for instance to provide overview of test progress, issues, risks and opportunities
  • Provide data to maintain applicable KPIs and provide valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Manage configuration and change management cycle related with V&V activities

 

Performance measurements:

  • DQI (Delivery Quality Indicator)
  • CPI (Coverage Progress Indicator)
  • Cooperation and support to KPI Root Cause Analysis

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other fields
  • Preferred Experience in DOORS, RQM and RTC
  • Preferred Experience in Railway and Signalling
  • Preferred experience in automation
