As a Product Introduction PI Field Modification Industrial Engineer, you will work with engineering to industrialize and implement modification to APMs in the field and factory according to Alstom standards and processes. You will work on implementation of modifications with modification teams, document and ensure proper implmentation and use of current items for each modification, monitoring the amount of rework based on feedback and input from engineering groups with respect to the allocated budget, and ensuring that the work is completed on time. Some of your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing a clear understanding of the Customer Acceptance Criteria
  • Dispatching documentation and liase with modification teams
  • Set up/define relevant quality self-inspection tasks
  • Communicating results and impacts of modifications to the PI engineer monitoring the testing and creating the test procedures
  • Respect the timeframe for modification preparation and implementation
  • Ensure the level of accuracy, maturity, and applicability of modifications and documentation
  • Ensure the completeness and quality of modification data is recorded in a database
  • Maintain comfiguration update data and have it available to all stakeholders
  • Implementing REX (Return of Experience) from first modification implementation and adjust/optimize documents & tools for cost and time
  • Supporting the T&C Operations team for the implementation and execution of the Testing Procedures
  • Ensuring T&C procedures comply with EHS Policy and Site EHS Management System
  • Participating in EHS activities on shop floor

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified technician or undergraduate degree in technical area (Mechanical, electrical/electronics, communication systems)
  • Fluent in English language
  • Minimum IT knowledge
  • A couple of years of configuration management and industrialization engineering
  • Field experience
  • Teamwork Capacity
  • EHS knowledge and exposure

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in technical area
  • Good knowledge of IT Tools and smart devices
  • Familiarity with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
  • Previous work experience in the rail industry and/or specific educational studies in this field is preferred
  • Understanding of railway safety/product liablity
  • Strong customer relations ability
  • ISR Basics
  • Have a good technical knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical and networks domains
  • Understanding of Lean approach for Industrialization
  • Result-driven mindset
  • Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders
  • Proven Aptitude for problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment

 

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field is required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience maybe considered
