Could you be the full-time hybrid N&T Radio Design Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive networking and telecommunications expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and dedicated teammates. You'll ensure the meticulous execution of N&T Radio Design specifications, significantly contributing to project success. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including installation, cybersecurity, and power experts), ensure adherence to quality processes and project milestones, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Elaboration of N&T Radio Design specifications (Preliminary Design & Detailed Design),

Ensuring Quality processes are followed, including Adapt and Design N&T Processes, Methods, and Guidelines,

Alignment of Radio Design documents with project DFQ Gate Reviews milestones and project Documentation plan,
-
Design optimization to minimize N&T Radio deployment cost, lead time, and risks,
-
Development and elicitation of Radio Design requirements focusing on Radio spectrum management and Cybersecurity,
-
Consistency checks of external interfaces with N&T sub-system,
-
Preparation & Execution of various Radio surveys and tests, including interference, trackside, train surveys, and coupling tests,

Participation in Design Reviews

Degree in networking, Computer Science, or other related field.,

Experience or understanding of radio deployments in industrial environments, including interference mitigation.,

Knowledge of Wifi protocols and radio solutions, with a specific focus on Wifi deployments (802.11a/b/n/ac).,

Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques (spectrum analyzer, IP analyzer, mib principles, etc.).,
-
Other skill needed: Experience in troubleshooting and technical coordination.,

Other skill needed: Knowledge of 4G technologies.,

Other skill needed: Demonstrated resilience in challenging environments.
