Could you be the full-time hybrid Hardware Application Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive hardware and electronics expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, collaborative, and forward-thinking teammates. You'll lead the integration of our state-of-the-art hardware products into complex transportation systems, contributing significantly to a low carbon future. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Mechanical Engineers, Software Designers, and Industrialization Teams), prepare detailed documentation for our hardware subsystems, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading the interfacing of hardware products with various systems to ensure optimal functionality,

  • Executing hardware integration and validating technical choices through various analyses,

  • Preparing detailed documentation for hardware subsystems and associated bill of materials,

  • Analyzing system architectures to ensure correct interfacing of our equipment,

  • Assisting in the testing and configuration of our equipment within larger systems,

  • Collaborating on hardware specification and architecture, in line with the hardware architect’s vision,

  • Presenting technical details to customers and facilitating design review discussions.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or other related fields,

  • Experience of hardware application in engineering or design,

  • Knowledge of control systems and their operation,

  • Proficiency in preparing technical documentation and conducting design reviews,

  • Experience in hardware integration and validation,

  • Familiarity with train control systems within the railway/transit industry (desirable).
