Purpose of the job:  

This position is the onsite HR representative for various business units ranging from software engineering to support functions (contract management, documentation control, et al).  This role will be responsible for implementing and overseeing HR policies and programs by providing counsel and assistance to employees and management on HR matters; will work with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources and employee relations issues; promotes a diversity and inclusion culture; manages the administration of the employee transfers and status changes; project manages the staffing process and interviews candidates; conducts exit interviews and provides corrective action recommendations based on trends; provides coaching related to compensation; and provides appropriate HR metrics to support necessary business decisions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partners with business leaders and internal HR functions relative to employee engagement, employee relations, learning and development, legal compliance, immigration, compensation management, performance management, staffing, and measuring & reporting.
  • Project manages recruitment activities of the internal and external staffing support functions.  Appropriately partners with all parties to drive staffing needs to closure.
  • Works closely with international human resources and Central to ensure immigration cases are proceeding while in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Develops and implements HR programs to resolve business unit HR issues.
  • Provides business analytics to enable leaders to make decisions around talent management/development, employee engagement, and positive employee relations.
  • Responsible for the data administration activities for employee changes, focusing on data integrity.
  • Participate in and/or lead special project initiatives as assigned.
  • Travel minimal, <10% required.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science or economics is required.  Master’s degrees in human resources, psychology, business studies, social science or economics preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years HR generalist experience covering all areas of human resources.

 Competencies & Skills:  

  • Organizational skills, collaborative & teamwork oriented, proactive, and acts with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and persuasion skills.  Confident and at ease sharing opinions and expertise.  Able to handle conflict/crucial conversations. 
  • Business acumen, able to understand company financials, and to make sound business decisions based on data and facts.
  • Influence, resourcefulness, and resilience within a matrix organization structure.
  • Intercultural awareness
  • Ability to manage time and projects effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is a must, specifically Excel (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
