Responsible for the technical design and delivery of power supply & distribution systems for electrified transit systems. Scope of delivery to DC traction power substations, AC medium & low voltage distribution, and other speciality electrical distribution & control equipment.
This position initially requires immediate site support to Edmonton project until successful completion.
Key responsibilities:
Review, analyze, and manage customer technical specifications
Create single line diagrams and control schematics
Perform power distribution analysis: equipment sizing, load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, protection coordination, power quality, arc flash
Develop Customer design documentation and participate in design reviews
Provide power supply system interface requirements to external design teams.
Create equipment technical specifications & evaluate Suppliers
Support site installation, testing, & commissioning
Key skills:
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
Ability to read varied electrical distribution drawings and schematics
MS Office, AutoCad, EasyPower, E3, PLCs
Knowledge of National Electric Code
Key traits:
Must be able to communicate effectively to different audiences
Have a broad engineering understanding across different disciplines
Self motivated with strong problem solving skills
