Purpose of the job
Ensure Product Quality compliance according to Customer & Internal specifications during warranty period
Support Industrial Quality Standards per manufacturing process during MODs and FMIs.
Manage operationally the problem solving for quality issues appearing during warranty phase related to externally purchased parts
Work on behalf of the Project warranty Manager who remains accountable for the achievement of the project reliability targets and charge back of CONQ (Cost of Non Quality).
Main tasks
- Participate in Customer Inspections
- Deploy Self-Inspection for FMIs and manage Workstation Dynamic Checklists (Self-Inspection)
- Perform or participate to inspections of products when required (e.g. MODs inspections)
- Ensure availability and accuracy of Car History Book throughout warranty phase
- Manage QA activities in relevant workshop: People, Process & Performance (APSYS)
- Support the decision for all Hand Overs (GO / NOGO) & keeps NO GO Veto Right in any case
- Stop the production if needed for mandatory reason (e.g. Safety impact needed rework)
- Manage External NCR and 8Ds until closure using Problem Solving (e.g. QRQC) methodology.
- Leads progress & monitors the completion of containment, corrective action and solution implementation as defined through proper usage of the Supplier quality portalà
- Reports / Escalates to SQ Warranty manager (at region or global level) to unblock critical situations.
- Alerts the Project Product Introduction Manager in case of epidemic issues
- Direct interface to the Customer (Quality)
Education & Experience Mandatory Requirements
- Master’s degree in engineering (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical…) OR Associate degree for Technician (ex. 2 years technical degree after high school)
- Special Process Qualification minimum at Level 2 according to Quality Academy criteria’s
- Experience in managing Quality tools (Problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, …)
- Processes knowledge on Quality
- Using digital tools
- Problem solving method
- Quality analysis tools (8D, Ishikawa)
