Your future role

You'll drive the success of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts across the U.S., ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (HR, IT, Engineering, Finance, and Services Division), mentor and guide General Managers, build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and business partners, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

You’ll specifically take care of overseeing all AME Services O&M contracts within the U.S., ensuring the highest possible levels of passenger, equipment, and employee safety, but also supporting the growth of O&M in the U.S. and developing strategies for continuous improvement and cost savings.,

Reviewing and evaluating the performance of each site, focusing on safety, finance, regulatory compliance, employee engagement, labor relations, quality, and customer expectations at least monthly. ,

Collaborating with each Site GM to address operational issues, assess risks, and analyze the impact on commercial and contractual commitments or customer relationships. ,

Introducing initiatives that enhance safety, operational performance, equipment performance, efficiencies, cost reductions, and revenue increases. ,

Maintaining regular meetings with existing customers to ensure their needs and expectations are met. ,

Supporting the growth of services by sharing technical expertise, best practices, and maintenance costing information, contributing to new business proposals and project mobilizations. ,

Providing leadership, guidance, coaching, and mentoring to General Managers under your responsibility.

Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Transportation, or Logistics (Master’s degree preferred). ,

Experience or understanding of leading operations in the passenger rail or managed services industry, with 15+ years in a leadership role. ,

Knowledge of railway industry regulations (e.g., Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation). ,
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools (Microsoft Project preferred), and ERP systems. ,

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. ,

Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and business partners. ,

Leadership and mentoring skills to guide and support a team of General Managers. ,

Problem-solving and decision-making skills for operational issue management. ,

Strategic mindset for business development and driving continuous improvement initiatives. ,

Willingness to travel and work independently.
