Alstom have an opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer based in Perth, WA. Reporting to the Systems Integration Manager you will be accountable for leading the systems interface and integration work between the signaling system (RMS), Suresite, Active Directory and NTP for the BHP RTP Project.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design coordination between the client, Operator and Alstom on the interface design between signalling system and existing Suresite/ADDC/NTP systems
  • Develop, implement and lead the system integration activities related to existing Suresite/ADDC/NTP systems work with new Signalling System (RMS)
  • Interface and integration work between RMS and Suresite/ADDC/NTP systems work, which include:
  • Information exchange of input drawings, specifications, operational rules, manual, existing hazards etc.
  • Interface point definition (incl. IHA, HAZOP, update on the existing hazards, with support from SA team.
  • Review the System Architecture Diagram (SAD)
  • Undertake interface specifications including feasibility studies, interface requirement specification and scope split between RMS and Suresite/ADDC/NTP
  • Prepare the alarms and events management plan, lead the coordination of alarms and events categorisation among system suppliers and align with the client operations and maintenance strategy


You will have the following:


  • Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledgeable in CENELEC standards and application of engineering principles
  • Proven technical background in systems engineering, design and integration
  • Ability to lead and drive the integration activities between different system suppliers
  • Familiar with railway system engineering and integration activities
  • Have practical experience of applying engineering management and application throughout system development lifecycles
