Onboard Test Engineer - FIFO

Join us on a max-term contract of 12+ months based out of Western Australia’s Pilbara region, employed out of Perth on a 2:1 FIFO roster. You will be required to have flexibility and mobility in the workplace, available to work at nights, weekends and on public holidays as a fly in fly out employee. Projects will include: BHP

Key Responsibilities

• Create/review Technical documentation, such as test plans, test specifications, Test procedure and test reports.
• Execute Engineering Type Tests at site for different rolling stock classes.
• Provide technical support for engineering design and installation
• Liaise between the engineering team in Australia and international design and other functions within the project i.e., safety, test and commissioning teams
• Report progress against schedule, highlighting key issues and risks
• Provide on-site to vehicle survey, support installation, and test activities

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering – Electronics/Electrical
• Proven knowledge and experience in the areas of railway systems, preferably with locomotive ATP (ETCS) integration
• Demonstrated design, system interface, installation and project delivery experience
• Excellent stakeholder management skills including ability to interface with suppliers, customers, partners and internal stakeholders
