The Role:

You are in charge of executing physical flows of the goods (purchased and manufactured items): reception, putaway, storage, picking, kitting and line feeding, packing, shipping, inventory, materials handling. Your target is to align physical and systems flows.

The role is responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out safely, economically, on time and within set quality standard management system.

High standard of housekeeping is to be maintained in providing a safe and efficient workplace. Supporting and promoting the companies OH S policies working to zero harm and accidents/ incidents. You will be reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

Main Tasks:

• Apply rules in order to operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies:
  - Know and follow all safety, environmental and emergency procedures
  - Respect the safety conditions to handle goods, trolleys etc.
  - Actively participate in all aspects of safety including reporting of near misses and meetings
  - Notify Warehouse Mgmt. of all safety, site keeping or maintenance issues that are found during inspection that require assistance
• Execute Information system update & ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) transaction before each physical movement by using IT tools (mobile device) in place in your site to manage correctly the system flow
• Know and use the ERP transactions to align physical and system flows and know the interactions between them
• Detect, treat anomalies and know how to report those that cannot be resolved to their manager
• Prioritize its activities according to emergencies (manage missing parts, …)
• Ensure the preservation of materials during the all processes (handling, storage, line feeding, NCR, shipment, ...)
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the processes by being a force of proposal
• Apply and respect the appropriate methodologies & processes

Educational Requirements:

• Experience of forklift driving (for forklift drivers only)

• Forklift driving license (for forklift drivers only)

Desired Knowledge / Experience:

• 2-5 years’ experience in logistics  and warehouse environment (Railway signalling business is desirable)
• Competencies in material handling ,  good knowledge of warehouse  operations and practices
• Good analytical skills
• Proficient in  inventory, software and  database systems

Behavioural Skills / Competencies:   

• Carry out all business activities in timely, honest and ethical manner and treat all employees / customers / suppliers and visitors with respect.
• Team oriented with the ability to work independently

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Microsoft Office & MS Excel skills with SAP  knowledge desirable
• Fluent In English
• Current forklift licence
• Able to keep clear and accurate written  records
• Good communication skills
