Could you be the next Indirect Buyer in Perth we're looking for?


Reporting to the ANZ Indirect Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end procurement activities across a range of indirect spend categories, including management of RFx, supplier selection process, contract negotiations, category strategy deployment, and supplier relationship management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver value-driven procurement outcomes, drive operational excellence, and support Alstom's procurement transformation initiatives.

 

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia, with regular travel required between key business locations including Bellevue, Nowergup and St George's Terrace (Perth CBD). The successful candidate must be comfortable working across multiple sites and possess a valid driver's licence and reliable transport.

 

We'll look to you for:

  • Preparing and launching e-RFx via SAP ARIBA with suppliers with emphasis on detailed cost breakdown.
  • Leading the RFx negotiation, not only limited to price, but also overall supplier assessment against delivery time, quality, contractual obligations and technical alignment with the scope of works.
  • Responsible to develop a country commodity strategy and supplier panel elaboration.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses of the supplier’s financial stability, technical competency, capacity and capability analysis as required based on the criticality of the service involved on time-to-time basis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes, identifying opportunities to optimise cost, safety, efficiency, supplier performance, and risk management.

  • Degree in engineering or Business
  • Sourcing & Procurement professional background, with sound knowledge on Indirect Categories
  • Strong knowledge of commercial terms and conditions and structuring of Frame and specific purchase conditions to the best interest of the company Contract management and legal awareness, with the ability to review, interpret, and negotiate commercial terms and supplier agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups and build strong working relationships.
