Your future role:
Alstom have a 24-month fixed term contract for an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator with a rail, infrastructure or heavy industrial construction delivery background to join our business on a 2 weeks on /1 week off FIFO basis from Perth to Port Headland involved in the delivery of Alstom's scope on BHP's Rail Technology Project.
We’ll look to you for:

Deploying and maintain*ing procedures and tools specific for EHS Management System in line with Transport and EHS Management System.

Ensuring EHS risk assessment is undertaken and that the appropriate measures to control risks are defined.

Maintaining appropriate records and documentation of the site while monitoring compliance.

Implementing an EHS training plan and program.

Ensuring that the Safety Management System is well maintained and in line with required standards.

Reviewing and testing the various emergency plans and delivery of Safety induction training.

Prioritising accidents/incidents are first prevented, and if occurring writing thorough reports, recording the incident, ensuring this has been investigated and analysed.

Participating in the Alstom EHS & Safety audits and accreditation program.
All about you:
-
Health & Safety qualification (Cert IV/Diploma/Degree).

Rail, infrastructure or heavy industrial construction project experience in a similar role.

Sound understanding and knowledge of local legal and regulatory health and safety requirements.

Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the operations.

Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules and procedures.
