Your future role:

Alstom have a 24-month fixed term contract for an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator with a rail, infrastructure or heavy industrial construction delivery background to join our business on a 2 weeks on /1 week off FIFO basis from Perth to Port Headland involved in the delivery of Alstom's scope on BHP's Rail Technology Project.

We’ll look to you for: 
 

• Deploying and maintain*ing procedures and tools specific for EHS Management System in line with Transport and EHS Management System.

• Ensuring EHS risk assessment is undertaken and that the appropriate measures to control risks are defined.

• Maintaining appropriate records and documentation of the site while monitoring compliance.

• Implementing an EHS training plan and program.

• Ensuring that the Safety Management System is well maintained and in line with required standards.

• Reviewing and testing the various emergency plans and delivery of Safety induction training.

• Prioritising accidents/incidents are first prevented, and if occurring writing thorough reports, recording the incident, ensuring this has been investigated and analysed.

• Participating in the Alstom EHS & Safety audits and accreditation program.

 
All about you: 
 

• Health & Safety qualification (Cert IV/Diploma/Degree).

• Rail, infrastructure or heavy industrial construction project experience in a similar role.

• Sound understanding and knowledge of local legal and regulatory health and safety requirements.

• Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the operations.

• Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules and procedures.
