Purpose of the job

The PLM4A Indus Regional Business Process Expert serves as the métier referee for PLM Industrial within the designated region (Europe).

This pivotal role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Key User Coordination: Lead the coordination, training, development, and sustainment of Key Users (KU) within the Region network, while actively animating the KU network to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Central Team Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for Central teams—including Methods & Tools (M&T), Métiers, and IS&T—regarding PLM4A RSC processes, facilitating clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Regional Needs Consolidation: Gather and consolidate regional requirements for process evolution and enhancements, reporting these needs to the Central Program Team to ensure they align with regional objectives.
  • Solution Consistency Assurance: Ensure that the tools landscape and processes within the region remain consistent and aligned with Core Rules, safeguarding operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Site Maturity Monitoring: Track and assess the maturity level of sites concerning process adherence and solution implementation, ensuring continuous improvement towards established targets.
  • Converged Processes Promotion: Advocate for the adoption and deployment of new converged processes among site experts, driving operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Cultural Change Support: Provide essential support to Key Users and Digital Continuity Officers (DCO) in their deployment activities, participate in Cultural Change initiatives (workshops) to ensure alignment between central processes and sites’ way of working, using these processes.
  • Project Management Skills: Utilize strong project management skills to effectively execute the responsibilities of the role, ensuring timely delivery of objectives and fostering a proactive approach to challenges.

 

Organisation Structure

 The RBPE reports hierarchically to the Digital Operational Excellence Director & dotted line to central Business Process Owner (BPO) of the respective function.

Main Responsabilities:

Core Model development:

  • Organize and animate the regional Key Users network, including the development and maintenance of a competency matrix.
  • Lead testing and validation efforts for regional solution upgrades in collaboration with the Central PLM4A Program team.

Region Deployment and Run:

  • Monitor performance metrics (including data quality and process adherence) within areas of expertise for the region.
  • Maintain supplementary documentation and training resources beyond the materials provided by Central.
  • Gather user feedback and escalations related to solutions and deployments, reporting findings to:
    • PLM4A RSC Region Deployment Manager
    • Regional Management
    • PLM4A Central M&T Leader
  • Organize and conduct tool usage assessments across various sites, in alignment with Central Métier / BPO (Business Process Owner) reference frameworks.

 

Measurement:

  • Regular update of the KPIs and the process maturity matrix
  • Follow up and closing the action plan
  • Quick response to process issues from the site
  • Providing solutions within PLM4A for localized processes.

 

Qualification Requirements

  • University degree or Engineering School graduate
  • Several years Engineering experienced person, with a sound knowledge and experience in operations
  • Experience or understanding of RSC Engineering / Industrial processes and Method & Tools (M&T)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in PLM- and additional tools for design, change control, etc. 
  • Proven leadership and change management skills
