For our Headquarter in Paris, we are looking to recruit an HR Business Partner Functions.

 

Acts as an effective Business Partner by developing and implementing strategic and operational HR solutions within the framework of ALSTOM HR Strategy and acts as a change agent to support ongoing organizational and cultural changes. Responsible for the deployment in an optimized manner the HR policies & processes for the respective Functions in line with the ALSTOM HR guidelines.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Counselling Business on HR topics

  • Business Partnering the Management Team of the Function in all people matters
  • Understand, challenge and prioritize business needs, and translate them into HR actions
  • Advice, coach, support and influence management on all HR related issues, policies and processes
  • Ensure that all policies and rules are followed according to the Delegation of Authority
  • Contributor on knowledge management for the Function
  • Involved and contribute to leadership topics for the Function
  • Career Management and coaching for Leadership team
  • Implements with the support from Employee Services, leads and monitors all HR processes for the defined client group (e.g. performance management process, salary review process, development, separation).
  • Deploy and ensure timely completion of the People Management Cycle
  • Build managers’ ownership of the management of their people
  • Deploy in the Function the learning, talent & competency programs defined globally and coordinated by the Talent Management Team
  • Prepare and manage annual People review/ Metier review (Heaquarter and global with regional input)
  • Manage and monitor talent pipeline, ensure talent to cover business needs (incl: mobility, succession planning, development plans, retention, engagement, learning programs)

 

Recruitment

  • Manage the Workforce planning for the Function together with the Function Head
  • Manage HC & sizing of the Function
  • Facilitate the budget process for his/her scope 
  • Work in collaboration with local HR for Employee Cycle
  • Ensure sustainability of data accuracy; use metrics to measure HR performance;
  • Personally interview for positions in area of responsibility, recommend whether to employ, and decision on salary & employment conditions. Influence line managers as necessary;
  • Makes sure the process of induction and probationary period is performed.

Total Rewards

  • Work closely with Total Rewards and HRD to develop appropriate policies and practices and to align Alstom practices with evolution of market;
  • Assure implementation of annual salary review and STI/bonus payments on time;
  • Follow-up of the incentive schemes set up by the Company;
  • Assure job grading is maintained up-to-date, and develop at the appropriate time for new countries, supported by Total Rewards
  • Highlight any Total Rewards issues to HRD and Management.
     

Performance measurements:  

  • Timely fulfilment of People Management Cycle (PMC) of relevant communities
  • Implementation of high quality and cost effectiveness collective development plan for the community
  • Recruitment, retention of high performers and key/critical positions
  • Adherence to the budget (HC & Cost)
  • Feedback from stakeholders 

 

Requirements: 

  • University degree, major in Human Resources,Psychology, Business Studies, Social Science or Economy or similar relevant areas
  • 10 years HR experience in a similar industry/environment
  • Generalist HR management experience covering all areas of HR management practice.
  • Influence and resilience within a matrix organization structure
  • Professional expertise in French employment law issues, redundancies, employee relations
  • Fluent in the English & French languages (written and spoken) 
  • Experience of HR operational aspects (Talent availability, Salary & Benefit, Legal/Labour Compliance, Income Tax, Social Context) is preferable
  • Understanding of financial concepts relevant to business P&L, Balance Sheet is preferable
  • Excellent communication skills with transparency, influencing and persuasion skills
  • Confident and at ease sharing opinions and expertise & a strong ability to make decisions/sense of urgency
