Purpose of the Job

• Definition and implementation of Sourcing strategy for Engineering Software
• Manage global supplier panel relationship for Engineering Software
• Responsible for commodity maturity development with efficient sourcing and purchasing measures leveraging Alstom’s procurement tools
• Operational procurement responsibility on negotiation
• Animate Saving Plan and continuous improvement of total cost of ownership for spend within commodity

 
Main responsibilities

• Support commodity management
  • Represent Engineering Software commodity
  • Consolidate commodity needs and sourcing demands
  • Build and propose differentiation for AT through supplier innovation
  • Participate actively to commodity strategy and panel elaboration 
  • Participate to Make or Buy decision process when relevant
  • Define a strategy for specific segment according to delegation
  • Ensure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
  • Apply the Alstom Procurement process and provide return on experience.
  • Is involved on operational tasks
• Monitor Buyer activity on specific segment
  • Has an operational procurement responsibility on negotiation
  • Lead Saving Plan by leveraging Design to Cost, Volume bundling, Global contracts, best cost country solutions and panel reduction
