Join us, as product manager to pilot H2 Fuel Cell development strategy

 

Today, Alstom is the only rail player that offers the entire scope of green traction solutions and in-house fuel cell technology. Hydrogen trains have been running in Germany since 2018 and the Group has been awarded firm contracts in Germany, France and Italy for 59 trains and has multiplied partnerships with other countries in Europe. 

 

Your mission

Develop H2 Fuel Cell product range, ensure sale and delivery within agreed performance, technical risk, and cost.

 

In alignment with the company objectives of quality, profitability and growth, lead and gathered dedicated teams to build the product roadmap.

 

Collaborate with R&D, to ensure product performance – including competitiveness - at all phases from the development phase to the project execution and service operations.

Validate the product solution, in cooperation with the Traction Team to contribute to the tender acceptance.

Participate to projects achievements as technical referent for fuel cell components and subsystems.

 

Your responsibilities

  • You define, manage, and develop the product roadmap for the complete fuel cell product range.
  • You are responsible for cost ownership of the product in its segment, on every aspect: performance, competitiveness, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.
  • You follow and ensure the competitiveness of product portfolio on its market in terms of technology and costs; you identify portfolio/technology gaps to derive the relevant actions.
  • You conduct the product validation and homologation and update it in compliance with norms and standard regulations evolution for each market.
  • You validate the product definition and application for all tenders.
  • You monitor project teams around the product strategy from tender definition phase up to execution phase.
  • You propose and manage R and D programs for fuel components and subsystems
  • You pilot and collaborate with product development teams involved: engineering, industrial, procurement, tender and costing.
  • You ensure  fuel cell components and subsystems design, validation and certification guidelines are set up and promoted their application across Alstom.
  • You propose and manage relationship with academics and partners for fuel cell components and subsystems

 

Your Profile

  • Master of engineering or equivalent, preferably with a specialization in hydrogen or fuel cell design.
  • Strong knowledge in fuel cell components and subsystems, as well as knowledge on Traction/Vehicule design acquired in the transportation industry (railway, automotive, aeronautic)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the hydrogen field in capacity of program manager, product manager, technical leader, or chief of engineering, ideally driving the development of fuel cell products.
  • Strong leadership skills, experience in leading teams in cross-functional organization and comfortable working with diverse internal stakeholders and complex internal processes: tenders, projects, engineering, industrial.
  • Ability to convince, to challenge and to be challenged, solutions and results oriented.
  • Good sense of coordination and team spirit, to work in multi-skills and multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Availability for international travels on a frequent basis.
