Your Future Role

• Complying with and promoting Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Performing inspections, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and complex troubleshooting on traction power systems operating at 1500V and above.
• Monitoring power systems, circuit breakers, substations, and associated traction power equipment to ensure system reliability.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently and safely to minimize service disruptions.
• Completing maintenance records, inspections, and work orders accurately and on time within the Maintenance Management System.
• Supporting and implementing field modifications, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
• Recommending and applying maintenance techniques and procedures that improve safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Supervising power isolation and lockout/tagout processes for rail system teams and designated third-party contractors.
• Actively participating in safety meetings, emergency preparedness activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating effectively with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and management to achieve operational objectives.
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable legislation, procedures, and technical standards.
• Other relevant responsibilities as assigned by manager.

All About You

• Educational background or formal training as an Electrician, Electrical Engineering Technologist, Electrical Technician, or a related electrical discipline.
• Relevant electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience in industrial, transportation, utilities, power distribution, or similar environments.
• Experience working with underground and/or overhead high-voltage systems is strongly preferred.
• Lineman experience is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices and safe work procedures.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong computer skills and experience using maintenance management systems.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence is mandatory.
• Additional licences or certifications related to trucks, trailers, aerial devices, or similar equipment are considered assets.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in support of a seven-day rail operation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
