Could you be the full-time Train Maintenance Operational Planning in Oslo we’re looking for?

As a Train Maintenance Operational Planning,  your primary responsibilities will include coordinating all activities taking place onboard customer trains, ensuring efficient fleet maintenance, maximizing fleet availability for customers, and serving as the central point of contact for operational planning, such as train, track, equipment, and team management.

 

Furthermore, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving customer fleet availability, optimizing maintenance activities through a fleet running strategy, and identifying areas of improvement through monitoring KPIs for each team. You will also participate in reliability analysis to identify assets with technical issues.

 

As a Team Manager will be responsible for building and managing a solution-oriented team, leading the train movement team, managing standby duty, and producing/updating department procedures.

 

You will be responsible to :

 

Customer relations

  • Build and Manage a single point of contact for the customers (Phone, Email, IT interface)
  • Develop customer communication through standard information flow
  • Keep a transparent and efficient information flow with the customer operational flow
  • Document all exchange
  • Initiate and follow up the incident response process following customer incident notification
  • Manager Train return to service to ensure all team have completed and documented their work

Operational Planning

  • Build and manage a workload forecast and anticipate challenges with workload/capacity balance
  • Keep up-to-date planning information available to the team
  • Ensure stakeholders provide accurate information and updates to validate planning feasibility

Operational Awareness

  • Keep up to data visual dashboard to monitor fleet status and condition
  • Deploy and manage work completion progress and planning impact alert system to keep reliable planning status to operation management and customer
  • Manager operation issues and react to limit impact on long-term planning

  • Bachelor's degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or Electrical and Engineering
  • 5 – 10 years of experience working in similar industries “Railway, Aeronautics, automation…
  • Experience in operational environment
  • Experience in using a planning tool (Primavera, MS Project….)
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian
