Are you the Logistics Manager we are looking for?
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Be in charge of all the Logistic teams: warehouse, logistic engineering and transport teams (Alstom employees or external - provider) for your site / country.
- Manage and optimize the logistic flows to always keep the physical and system flows aligned.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies:

- Know and follow all safety, environmental and emergency procedures
- Actively participate in all aspects of safety including reporting of near misses and meetings
- Ensure implementation of all standard processes & golden rules in compliance with Logistic Handbook
- Ensure optimization of warehousing, packaging, and physical flow according to Lean Manufacturing and QCDE (Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health & Safety) principles
- Ensure key users are in place to support critical processes and users (training, data corrections, system Key Performance Indicators (KPI))
- Ensure the ERP solution (Enterprise Resource Planning solution) is implemented, correctly used and guarantee the master data quality
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (inventory accuracy, cycle counting performance)
- Ensure the inventory process is in compliance with Alstom standard rules (Delegation of Authority DOA, instruction)
- Ensure the deployment of APSYS (Alstom Transport Production System) roadmap by each Team
Management:
- Manage Jobs & Skills, Training & Qualification, Workforce, Staffing & organization, World Class Manufacturing network
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement activity for logistics
Operational activities:
- Ensure that Environment Health & Safety (EHS) rules are respected and promote EHS culture
- Ensure alignment between physical and system flows, with no physical material movement without corresponding ERP update, guaranteeing data reliability and inventory accuracy.
- Warehousing & logistics operations: implement and run logistics standards for physical material flows, including goods reception (inbounding), warehousing, storage, kitting, line feeding, inventory management, and shipping, ensuring end‑to‑end material flow performance.
- Support and monitor incoming materials in terms of quality, packaging, and compliance with Alstom logistics rules, coordinating with suppliers, Quality, and internal stakeholders to prevent non‑conformities and disruptions.
- Optimize warehouse layouts, internal flows, and storage policies, and develop, deploy, and continuously improve the warehouse management plan in line with Lean Manufacturing, APSYS, and operational constraints.
- Manage and coordinate logistics resources (10+) across several projects (4 main projects), ensuring effective workload distribution, prioritization and flexibility in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced industrial environment.
- Ensure optimization of transportation flows and logistics costs, maintaining service level commitments while supporting project delivery requirements.
- Manage C‑Class activities according to Alstom standard rules, ensuring efficient outsourcing and small‑parts flow management.
- Promote recycling activities, bin management, and use of returnable packaging, contributing to sustainability objectives.
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at shaping the future logistics organization in Norway, supporting logistics transformation, scalability, standardization, and preparation for future industrial and project needs.
Finance:
- Manage Budget for his department
- Approve and monitor invoices from suppliers
- Respect the Delegation of Authority (DOA) rules regarding inventory reconciliations
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
- Mandatory:
- Graduated from Supply Chain / Engineering / Industrial
- Fluent English
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of Industrial fields and/or Material Planning
- Norwegian knowledge
Experience
- Mandatory:
- Experience of minimum 5 years in Logistics & Warehouse management
- Experience of minimum 5 years in Team management
- Knowledgeable of SAP (MM and IM modules)
