Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? In Norway, Alstom is engaged in a major signaling project, which will carry out the renewal of the Norway train fleet (more than 400 trains) with the ERTMS technology with various classes of trains (passenger trains, locomotives and yellow machines). To support the project is Alstom currently looking for a Logistic Engineer to oversee the set-up and management of the project’s warehouse.  

 

The Design Fleet Leader will report directly to the Onboard Design Delivery Manager. The position will be based in Oslo and Trondheim.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Work Packages Management, including hours and cost
  • Tracking Project Deliverables
  • Train scheduling creation
  • Train KPI development
  • Field Installation feedback Management
  • Customer Relation Management
  • Technical discussion
  • Technical installation solution agreement
  • Installation design Risk assessment
  • Installation Design Technical Review involvement
  • Electrical and Mechanical Design Review
  • Installation Procedure review
  • On field activities organization including agenda, survey preparation and reporting

 

 

Skills and education

We require a master’s degree in engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical), with a specialisation or orientation in Project Management. It is desirable that you have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience from railway and knowledge of Railway Signaling Systems (inside/outside) and Signaling Designs. We expect you to have good understanding of EHS regulation and great project management skills.

 

As a person you have a well-organized mindset, you are rigorous, structured and able to works both autonomously and proactively with your projects. You have excellent team working and communications skills, as well as the ability to adapt in a complex multicultural environment. You must also be fluent in English and preferably have proficiency in a Scandinavian language.
