Our product portfolio ranges from high-speed trains, metros, monorails and trams to integrated systems, customised services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility solutions. Joining us means joining a caring, responsible and innovative company where more than 80,000 people are paving the way for greener, smarter mobility worldwide.

The Ornans site is the world centre of excellence for the design and manufacture of traction motors for all the Group's rail solutions.

Could you be the Vibroacoustics Engineer - F/H on a permanent contract that we are looking for in Ornans?

Take up a new challenge and put your expertise in vibro-acoustics and mechanics to good use in a cutting-edge field. You will work with a passionate, multi-disciplinary and collaborative team, and will play a key role in the development of Alstom traction motors, contributing directly to the vibroacoustic performance of our products. On a daily basis, you will work closely with the Drive engineering teams (electrical engineering, mechanical design, materials, validation, etc.), participate in the design of motors and contribute to their vibroacoustic validation. You will also be involved in knowledge capitalisation and the ongoing development of our methods and tools.

We will be calling on you for :

Simulate the vibro-acoustic response of motors (radiated noise, structural vibrations).

Assess the risks of resonance and critical tones linked to electromagnetic forces.

Analyse the influence of the choice of geometry, materials and motor topologies on NVH.

Working with specialist engineers (electrical engineering, FEA, aerodynamics, materials) to optimise engine design.

Prepare, take part in and analyse NVH tests (acoustic, vibration and modal measurements).

Correlate test results with simulations to adjust models.

Contribute to technical reviews and monitoring of vibro-acoustic risks.

Capitalising on feedback in internal databases.

Your profile

We place more importance on passion and attitude than on experience. That's why we don't expect you to have all the skills. Instead, we've put together a list of the ones we think will help you succeed and thrive in this role:

Engineering degree or 5 years' higher education in mechanics, vibro-acoustics, acoustics, vibration or an equivalent field.

First experience or understanding of NVH issues, ideally on electrical machines (automotive, rail, energy, aeronautics, etc.).

Sound knowledge of structural mechanics, vibration and vibro-acoustics.

Mastery of simulation methods (dynamic FEM, frequency analysis, vibroacoustics).

Understanding of electromagnetic excitations in rotating machines.

Knowledge of metallic and polymeric materials (appreciated).

Familiarity with NVH simulation tools (Catia, Altair OptiStruct, Python, Matlab, HBK BK Connect, Dewesoft).

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, to understand complex systems, with rigour, curiosity and autonomy.

Professional English required.
