INDUSTRIAL QUALITY ENGINEER 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Quality Manager within the assigned scope.
  • Act as quality reference for maintenance teams on technical, process, and supplier quality issues.
  • Manage internal NCRs (including MIE) using structured problem‑solving methodologies (e.g. QRQC).
  • Participate in customer inspections and FAV for maintenance activities.
  • Support and qualify teams on Self‑Inspection and manage inspection checklists.
  • Perform workstation audits, maintenance execution assessments, and follow‑up actions.
  • Define and deploy quality control plans based on FMEA, field returns, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor and reduce Defects, Demerit, FPY and Cost of Non‑Quality (CONQ).
  • Support Lean Manufacturing deployment and KPI improvement in line with APSYS requirements.
  • Promote a strong Quality and EHS culture within the depot.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Materials) or equivalent; Technical/Associate degree accepted for Technician level
  • Solid knowledge of industrial quality processes and product/process inspections
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications and use test equipment
  • Experience with quality tools (Problem Solving, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IRIS, CMMI)
  • Confident use of digital tools and data‑driven approach
  • Experience in an industrial environment, preferably in railway or complex products
  • Strong communication, analytical and influencing skills
  • Fluent in English and Italian
