PURPOSE:

 

  • Responsible for organising and coordinating all planning relations to industrial activities to ensure on-time product deliveries, while contributing to profitability improvement in terms of cost, lead time and inventory reduction.
  • Anticipate, identify and analyse planning risks and opportunities, including management reporting, corrective action-plans and process development.
  • Responsible for proper planning data reliability, accuracy and consistency for SAP MRP system application and ensuring correct information flow both up & downstream (i.e.: Procurement, PME, manufacturing.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

 

  • Maintenance of material master data for planning fields and validate data.
  • Analyze all MRP error messages for data consistency relating to planning and implement corrective actions.
  • Be the local referent for any support need related to MRP queries and optimize MRP processes
  • Contribute and guide knowledge base creation for documentation
  • Report key decisions and document major assumptions (ex: Takt Time change) using standard forms
  • Ensure that the maintenance schedule is managed and takes into account constraints,  potential delay analysis and propose action plans.
  • Identify and mitigate cross functionally capacity limitations, bottleneck analysis for supply and demand planning, monitor and correct deviance from normative standards.
  • Preparation & analysis of the monthly forecast based on past period results and inputs from projects & depot/customer and inject into ERP system.
  • Adapt planning based on execution changes/constraints and propose alternative scenarios considering deliveries plans and inventory projections
  • Contribute to the return of experience and improvements, share of best practices
  • Accountable for ensuring master data accuracy and integrity is consistently maintained for on time end-to-end data flow from MPS to material planning and manufacturing.
  • Identify and mitigate cross functionally anomalies in planning process and performance monitor and correct deviance from normative standards, with optimized solution proposals
  • Manage as planning key user best practises by investigation and corrections to MPS & MRP dysfunctions and inconsistencies for optimal performance of industrial constraints, capacity and supply/demand planning
  • Ensuring correct management, control and reporting of cross-functional cost/cash contributing metrics and physical to information alignment
  • Responsible as local referent to ensure correct execution, training and troubleshooting data flows for operational efficiency, including: planning tool, MRP, Work order, change control and interfacing tools (ie: WO Cockpit, customer EDI, AOS, Qliksense)
  • Accountable for global planning KPI animation and operational performance reporting
  • Responsible for management of data standards (process, methods, measurement & tools) & associated documentation, for global planning across transversal processes to achieve best in class optimization
  • Ensure compliance to process review and audits, with improvement & monitoring initiatives

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Post Graduate Technical Qualification in Data Science or Industrial Engineering

 

EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum 5 years management experience with sound business knowledge, focused on industrialization, project delivery and manufacturing activities
  • Experience in rail services, maintenance & overhaul is advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years SAP extensive knowledge
  • Advance Excel knowledge

 

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Similar experience of 5 years in planning and data control role within manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Industrial Planning, Operations and Supply chain processes (including Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement)
  • Excellent knowledge of client-supplier internet portal (EDI) and ERP interfaces
  • Highly analytical, detailed conscious rigour
  • Excellent communication and influential skills, to drive change and aligned to business objectives
  • Strong leadership style with high motivation and self-initiative
  • Synthetic resilient and perseverance, with keen ability learn and adapt to change
  • Active team player with collaborative skills,
