PURPOSE OF THE JOB

 

The Jnr APSYS Specialist will drive and coordinate To Coordinate and Standardize APSYS & continuous improvement initiatives. APSYS Deployment - Animate, coordinate and challenge improvement actions to reach APSYS targets, APSYS toolbox to deliver operational performance & develop local best practices that will be share with the steering committee.

 

ORGANISATIONAL REPORTING

  • This position shall report hierarchical and functionally to the APSYS Lead.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

APSYS Deployment:

  • Work with Function HOD’s on strategic transformation using site SQCD objectives and APSYS roadmap.
  • Train people on APSYS program, methodologies and tools in his site / project.
  • Training & setup of APSYS Visual management boards & KPIs + Audit progress
  • Support each department in APSYS deployment by providing on field expertise on lean & continuous improvement tools
  • Facilitate and coordinate all improvement actions to reach APSYS targets defined with each métier based on APSYS roadmaps
  • Consolidate and report deployment status to Site APSYS Leader

 

APSYS assessment: 

  • Is responsible of self-assessment consolidation and APSYS assessment week / support mission’s preparation (logistics / accommodation, agenda, people availability …)
  • Perform APSYS assessments in other sites / projects

 

APSYS Network

  • Participate to APSYS events (webinars, APSYS award...)
  • Contribute as trainer to Site training program deployment (eg: AIM for PT & AT, 5’s, VSM, SWIP etc)
  • Share good practices & benchmarks (internal / external) within APSYS network) 

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Launch, lead and support functions with the Kaizen & Creaction digital program
  • Coordinate, manage & participate to Kaizen & Creaction events (Quarterly Creaction & Annual KAIZEN events, ASCEA (Africa Supply Chain Excellence Awards) program participation, APSYS award...)
  • Manage CI OPEX workshops on the shop floor and warehouse/ logistics areas
  • Data analysis and report structuring to support CI projects

 

Performance measurements:

  1. Successful Lean impact on the métier
  2. Progress from Y-1 to Y on APSYS maturity
  3. Site KPI improvement

 

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • High energy, high exposure.
  • Master lean principles (5S, Standard, Gemba, VSM, problem solving, performance and kaizen mindset)

 

Desired Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree (technical/engineering)
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • In-depth knowledge on APSYS Roadmap is an advantage

 

Experience  

  • Lean DNA would be appreciated
  • Ability to develop a network across all site
