Could you be the Industrial Quality Inspector within our ALP45 Project (Fixed Term Role – September 2027), located at our Nigel site, we’re looking for?

 

  • PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE JOB:

     

    Inspection of part / product / train / installation. Support Improvement of Zero Defect Program. Reporting of defects & ensure product compliance (check after rework), especially for Special Processes.

     

    KEY NETWORK & LINKS:

     

    INTERNAL

    • Line Manager, EPU manager (Elementary Production Unit),
    • PME team (Process & Manufacturing Engineering),
    • SC (Supply Chain),
    • SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance)
    • PrXM (Project X Manager)

     

    External

    • Customers representative
    • Suppliers & Sub-contractors

     

     

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework) according to Quality Control Plan
    • Records inspection results in the industrial digital tools as required
    • Support EPU manager for Station to Station Hand Over
    • Perform Workstation Quality Animation with EPU (Elementary Production Unit) manager including simple problem solving (5W)
    • Perform destructive & non-destructive examination

     

     

    PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

     

    • Inspection method time adherence
    • Self-Inspection effectiveness
    • Proper defect characterization (e.g. Defect catalogue, 5W2H, Acceptance criteria’s, …)
    • Management of rework (Validation included)

     

    BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

     

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Nated Qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (N6 preferably)
    • Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
    • Special Process Qualification minimum at Level 2 according to Quality Academy criteria’s
    • Any other Technical and Quality Qualification is advantageous 
    • Conversant with Microsoft Office, SAP database

     

    EXPERIENCE

     

    • 4+ years quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry including using of digital tools
    • Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working
    • Technical background enabling the understanding of critical characteristics of the products (strong electrical knowledge key ,electromechanical, , material, mechanical) or equivalent
