Working in a variety of settings, candidate shall be responsible for maintaining quality-assurance processes, inspections, testing products, recording and analyzing results as it relates to the Newark Operations and Maintenance facility.  Reporting to the QA Manager, quality inspectors shall follow through on set processes and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards as well as monitoring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of product output.  Quality inspectors must be meticulous in their work, skilled in quality processes and knowledgeable about measurement and test equipment (MT&E).


Key Responsibilites: 


  • Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or completed PM’s according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and or electrical measurements.  Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards. 40%
  • Ability to interact with all three shifts and assist technicians to carry out quality control standards.  Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective actions to supervisors and managers.  Work with production management and QA to provide feedback to technicians regarding accuracy of maintenance procedures.  Perform review of history records and other documentation for compliance to established procedures and good documentation practices. 25%
  • Communicate safety awareness; ensure technicians are within compliance of proper PPE and workmanship standards.  Develops safe working objective standards and support training, where applicable to Quality objectives. 20%
  • Supporting the serviceability/reliability of the system and making recommendations for hardware/procedural changes that become evident during analysis of performance data and reports. 10%
  • Support QA Manager on reviewing and editing maintenance procedures/manuals, work instructions, and process specifications. 5%


Local Specifications: 


  •  Must establish and maintain security access as specified at site location. 
  • Must possess working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • For safety reasons, must be able to communicate effectively in English. 
  • Occasional local travel for training or project purposes may be required. 


Qualifications & Functional Knowledge:

Must be meticulous in work efforts, skilled in quality processes and knowledgeable about measurement and test equipment (MT&E).  Attention to detail and an aptitude for working with data.  Solid grasp of sciences and basic engineering concepts is helpful.


Knowledge of the Business:

Minimum five years’ experience working in quality capacity.



Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and suppliers.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
